Angela and Friends – Ventriloquist is all about entertaining the young and the young at heart! With their unique personalities and creative voices Angela’s furry faced puppet friends will ‘WOW’ you with entertainment and interactive fun! Along with a sometimes grumpy Grandpa and a growing puppet family there is always a trunk full of surprises! Angela’s performances range from children (2 – 10) and families, adults and senior audiences using appropriate material! Angela is a self-taught ventriloquist with twenty five years experience. As a professional performer for seven years she has traveled through her home state of Missouri and through Kansas. She enjoys writing and performing her own material! Audiences have always praised her unique and believable style! As one young audience member said it best, “They really talk! How do they do that?!”

Presentation times run between 45 minutes to an hour depending on need. This includes a 30 minute show with an additional demonstration and participation for another 15 to 30 minutes. Our shows are perfect for company events, school assemblies, community festivals, private parties -- all ages and all occasions. Welcome to the PUPPET PARTY! Jeanie Bryan offers lively all-ages puppet shows with original, diverse characters. After 8 years as a storyteller and puppeteer in a children’s library, in 2014, Jeanie started touring with the popular children’s musician Celia. Together they created the CELIA & LITTLE CELIA SHOW and CELIA & FRIENDS, live musical puppet shows featuring original music and puppet characters. Jeanie and her husband, artist and puppeteer Matt Bryan, are known for their beloved monster puppet characters, Charles and Lucinda, who are the stars of the MONSTER TALES show. Jeanie also offers a FOLKTALE FOLLIES show, which includes retellings of classic stories such as “The Gunniwolf,” “The Wide-Mouthed Frog,” and “Monkey Tales from India.” New show offerings are added every year. Jeanie is also available for puppet-making workshops in a variety of styles ranging from hand, rod and shadow puppetry. One of her popular offerings is a PUPPET PARTY, which combines one of her puppet shows with a puppet-making workshop afterwards.

Entertaining and educational, The Kincaid Karacter Puppets present fast-paced, family-oriented puppet shows featuring slapstick comedy, classic one liners, audience participation and plenty of thrills and surprises, performed in the manner and style of classic live street theatre puppet shows of the 19th-century. The shows themselves are performed either from their own compact, themed "old time" puppet booths, or from the much larger "puppet wagon", a spectacular rolling puppet theater reminiscent of the classic circus, gypsy, and medicine man shows that once toured America. Puppeteer Doug Kincaid is the writer, designer, and performer for the Emmy award-winning children’s television series, D.B.’s Delight and Gator Tales. His other credits include puppet and character production work for The Muppets, Cartoon Network, Universal Studios, Six Flags, FX Network, M-TV, and Young Audiences of Kansas City. The Kincaid Karacter Puppets are also proud members of the Missouri Association of Fairs and Festivals and the International Association of Fairs and Festivals.

Peter Allen and Debbie Lutzky Allen have been performing and teaching puppetry for over thirty years. Their live performances, featuring hand puppets, marionettes and shadow puppets, inspire audience involvement and enthusiastic participation. The performance styles range from gentle (nursery rhymes and tales for young children and their families) to lively family fun (GEORGE AND THE DRAGON and THE AMAZING MYSTO'S MAGIC SHOW.) Other shows include CIRCUS, THE PIED PIPER, CHICKEN AND PIGS AND BEARS...OH MY! and special shows for Halloween and Christmas. Their new PUNCH AND JUDY show is just the thing for outdoor festivals and performances for family audiences! DISCOVER SHADOW PUPPETRY!, a performance/workshop, is also new this year. Family audiences enjoy creating and performing with their own shadow puppets.

Paul Vandivort teaches workshps in puppet making and performance in schools, libraries, and summer camps. After learning the art of puppet making in The Heart of the Beast, and Bedlam Theaters in Minneapolis, Paul Vandivorthas since dedicated his life to the art of childrean's performance. In the past 12 years he has been performing puppet shows, and leading workshops in schools, libraries, summer camps, and at festivals throughout Missouri. Paul Vandivort offers a 15 minute performance followed by a 30 minute workshop in puppet building. Also a 45 minute performance is available without the workshop. Each puppet show (story) is roughly 15 minutes (the 45 minute puppet show is made up of three stories). Stories available for for hand puppet shows include: The Three Wishes, Pink Riding Hood, The Frog Prince, The Monster and the Baby, and The City Mouse and The Country Mouse. Stories available for shaow puppets include: The Three Bears, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and The Princess of the Ocean.
Must be able to dim or turn off the lights for shadow performance. Ask presenters to supply one six foot long table.
The Puppetry Arts Institute offers historical puppet shows/marionette theatre using a variety of styles of puppets (marionettes, hand puppets, shadow puppets). Currently two marionette shows are touring, "Lewis & Clark; A Dog's Eyeview" and "Trouble on the Border: Order No. 11". Shows last 30-45 minutes. discussion questions can be provided. Discussion of show content can follow performances. Two to three puppeteers are needed to perform our touring shows. These puppeteers have between 8 and 30 years of touring and performing experience. Our shows have received excellent reviews and some venues have rebooked us due to audience request and the success of our performances.

For over 18 years StoneLion has toured internationally with literature or their highly acclaimed environmental series such as The Emperor Penguin’s New Clothes, Stellaluna, Backyard Buggin’, Down the Drain or The Lab Rat Science Experiment. Shows match core curriculum. StoneLion is part of Kansas City Young Audiences and for the past five years is a part of The Smithsonian Institute’s Discovery Theatre season. StoneLion's Artistic Director received the Outstand Community Partner award from the Kansas Association of Conservation and Environmental (KACEE) for our excellence in Environmental Arts Education.
Tom Bonham has worked professionally as a puppeteer since 1972 and has a degree from Saint Louis University. He is known for constructing imaginative puppets and creative use of the puppets. Bonham is responsible for the staging, scripting, and direction. Most shows are solo performances. Tom Bonham’s puppet productions are designed for school assemblies, community festivals, and performing arts series. His shows are suitable for children and family audiences up to 300 as well as intimate settings.
