Originally assembled to play on the soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated 2011 film "Winter's Bone," performers from that band are still making music together, and like fine wine, have sweetened with age. They are known far and wide for their honey-sweet harmonies and tasty Ozark-style pickin’, interspersed with poignant, sometimes hilarious commentary on Ozarks life and culture, receiving rave reviews from fans and media alike, One reviewer in Vancouver said that when this band played "…the entire room was transported from the dim, funky cabaret to a clear night under an Ozarks sky."
The band personnel has changed over the seasons, and original members Marideth Sisco, and Bo Brown are now joined by Dave Wilson and George Horne. Some may remember Brown, Wilson and Horne as members of the legendary 1980s bluegrass band “The Undergrass Boys.” They and Sisco, a Missouri Master storyteller and host of the public radio series “These Ozarks Hills, are still cookin’ with their mix of traditional Old Time Ozarks tunes and original works in contemporary topical folk music.
